The site that turns culture on its head
and tries looking at it from a Biblical/Jesus perspective. From
it's look to it's content...this is not your typical shiny Christian
website. The thinking here is different -- but in a very good
way. You will be engaged, stimulated...you will question...you
will be confronted. You'll find high quality articles and essays
on a variety of topics dealing with culture. Plus you'll be
treated to some insightful and thorough reviews of movies, books,
and media. The site is only marred by a little quirky navigation
that takes awhile to get used to and does not run as good in
some browsers. |

When you enter this site, you'll be
very impressed with the look -- very professional and engaging.
You'll also notice that it is for a younger crowd -- teens and
perhaps college students. It's a little more female-oriented,
but it offers some for both. The main categories you can explore
include Real Life, which offers real life stories, LifeStyle,
Spirituality, Entertainment, and Fashion & Beauty. The Fashion
& Beauty is definitely for girls and young women. It's quite
good and offers image and beauty tips and articles. A unique
part of the site is a spiritual IQ test which should get you
thinking. A quality site that hopefully reaches out to a lot
of kids and shares with them Christian messages in subtle yet
real and powerful ways. |

You may wonder at what this site can
be about -- shocking images of Jesus? No, it's all about ShockWave
and Flash sites that share about God/Jesus and spread the gospel.
Think of this site as a channel, and what's on it are cool animations.
The John 3:16 is the most moving -- if you haven't seen it,
I would highly recommend that one. There are over 14 other ones
here...some of varying quality. All are worth seeing. At least
once. And then passing them around to others. And
maybe...just maybe...inspiring you to think about or understand
God at a deeper level and have a desire to share what you believe
with someone. |

The real gold here is contrasted with
the metallic gold medals of the Olympics. The site covers churches
and ministries in Sydney, Australia for the 2000 Olympics. Some
good articles and interviews. Shows how they are using tracts
as an effective means to share the gospel with thousands of
Olympians and supporting people. Also, you can find info on
Australia...including the ability to listen to its original
national anthem. So, get ready for the Olympics by going here. |

This site for the teen and young adult
set feature stories and columns that covers news, politics,
and more. Has sharp graphic design and is quick loading. What's
different about this and even amazing is that this site was
made by Mennonites. Yes, those who are one step away from the
Amish. It does promote some Mennonite views -- such as why they
don't believe in fighting in wars -- but it is very accessible
and fairly open-ended. You can access a radio station as well
as a photo gallery that shares some about Mennonite functions.
So, get a taste of the Mennonite culture, read some good articles,
and enjoy. |

This site starts off with a bang...and
a very cool flash animation. Then it's not quite as exciting.
This place promotes an advertising campaign of the same name.
It lists some of ten commandments and other sayings (16 total)
that are modernized into the new generation. So you get sayings
such as "Looking for a phat place to hang? Try my crib.
--God" and "Chill...don't kill. -- God" and "Yo,
casual sex is on my list of deadly sins. -- God". Each
saying has a short message with
Bible verses. While this is worth checking out, its amusing
and interesting once. The only future is if you take one of
their banners and promote it on your site to get others thinking
about it. |

This is a new magazine for people in
their 20's and 30's -- the Gen-X. You'll find provocative questions
throughout the site, and provocative articles. One is about
"Is God all in our mind?". Since this is new, they
only have 3-4 articles every issue. And they have a downloadble
issue, which we would recommend to avoid unless you have fast
access -- it's about 3 Megs (or 20 minutes on a modem).What
caught us off guard is that it seems like the only way you can
access the mag is by downloading it, but look at the bottom.
A promising start to a new Gen-X magazine. |
